In response to steadily growing Internet use among a broad array of demographic groups in the USA, investigators are increasingly employing online surveys to collect self-reported data. Compared with mail and telephone survey administration, online technology provides options for survey administration that may be more convenient for subjects and more cost-effective for study personnel.
